Prime Minister Narendra Modi has directed the secretaries of all departments to work for employment generation on priority basis. He said that along with the government, the private sector should also consider how to increase productivity by bringing in new people. Also collect the details of vacancies in government departments and start the recruitment process on them. PM Modi has also asked to study the provisions of the Penal Code for minor offenses and explore the possibilities of abolishing or amending them. The Prime Minister has also directed the officials to explain to the State Governments the importance of financial discipline and address their shortcomings by focusing on the global index.

In connection with this meeting of PM Modi on Saturday, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba has sent a letter to the secretaries informing them about the instructions to be implemented immediately. The meeting, which lasted for four hours, was attended by National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister PK Mishra, Cabinet Secretary Rajiv Gauba and top bureaucrats of the Central Government besides secretaries. In the meeting, PM Modi laid great emphasis on employment. According to sources, it is necessary to take care of the private sector to accelerate manufacturing and create new jobs in the country. Only by doing this will Indian companies be able to become world leaders.

 

The Prime Minister said that after assessing the export potential in each sector, necessary policy reforms should be made accordingly. He also laid emphasis on the study of modern techniques in various fields and their application in India. He said that work should be done to set world class standards in India. PM Modi also instructed to learn from the global index in which India does not rank well.

It is worth mentioning that the Prime Minister had also given instructions to solve the problems of the border villages. He said that the ministries should deploy some of their officers in the border villages of the country to work on the challenges there and their practical village mission. Vibrant Village Mission was announced in this year’s budget. He suggested that the children of these villages should be sent to the nearest NCC. Schools can be enrolled.
