The rise in international oil prices has pushed up the price of aircraft fuel as well. ATF prices rose 0.2 per cent today. So far this year, ATF prices have gone up 8 times. Apart from this, the prices of petrol and diesel have also seen a rise in the last few days.

According to the notification issued by the public oil companies, the price of ATF has been increased by Rs 277.5 per kiloliter or 0.2 percent. After the hike, ATF prices in the national capital have gone up to Rs 1,13,202.33 per kilolitre. In this way the price of ATF has reached a record level.

Aircraft fuel prices are revised on the 1st and 16th of every month. Whereas oil companies have the freedom to revise the prices of petrol and diesel on a daily basis. ATF prices were last hiked by 18.3 per cent on March 16. After which its price was increased by 2% on 1 April.

ATF prices, which account for nearly 40 per cent of airlines’ operating costs, have been rising steadily this year. The prices have gone up 8 times so far this year.
