Zomato and Swiggy, two leading food delivery apps for online ordering, were shut down across the country for nearly half an hour on Wednesday due to technical reasons, causing inconvenience to many. It is being told that this happened due to technical fault. It is being told that this technical fault has come due to the crash of Amazon’s web service. Because many online platforms work automatically.
Both the apps started working again within 30 minutes but there were a lot of complaints on social media from users who were unable to order online or even see the menu.
Both Zomato and Swiggy were responding to users’ messages and complaints from the company’s customer support handles. It was said that the technical flaws would be rectified soon.
