E-commerce platform Flipkart on Wednesday launched an app called Flipkart Health+. The app will enable customers to access affordable medicines and healthcare products and services across over 20,000 pincodes in India. Flipkart Health+ aims to strengthen the healthcare ecosystem by addressing the problem of access to the right medicines and healthcare products in remote areas to meet healthcare needs. The company said that it will also contribute to a “healthy India”.

Services will reach remote areas

Flipkart Health+ Chief Executive Prashant Jhaveri said that health has received more attention since the Kovid-19 pandemic. We want to leverage technology that strengthens the healthcare ecosystem and facilitates access to healthcare for people living in remote areas of the country. With the launch of Flipkart Health+, Flipkart has forayed into the healthcare sector. Flipkart also signed agreements to gain more market share in the cheaper market. It owns an online pharmacy and digital healthcare platform – sastasundar.com.

App will have more than 500 sellers

The Flipkart Health+ app is designed and developed with a user-friendly approach that helps them understand the app as per their choice. The Flipkart Health+ platform will have more than 500 vendors. They will have a network of registered pharmacists who will have accurate information on medicines and health. The app will deliver the right medicines and healthcare products to independent retailers at the doorstep of the customer.

Third party health care service providers will also be involved

Flipkart Health plans to include third party healthcare service providers in the coming months. Which will provide health services like tele-consultation and e-diagnostics to the customers. The app is available on Android Play Store and will soon be available on iOS as well.
