MUMBAI, APRIL 11 (HUS). Rajasthan Royals spinner Yuzvendra Chahal completed his 150 wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) on Sunday.

Chahal achieved the feat by taking four wickets against Lucknow Super Giants at the Wankhede Stadium here on Sunday. Chahal also became the second fastest bowler in IPL history after Sri Lanka’s Lasith Malinga to achieve this feat.

He was earlier a part of Royal Challengers Bangalore and was associated with the franchise from 2014-2021 before its release in 2022. As of now, Chahal has taken a total of 11 wickets in IPL 2022 and is currently a Purple Cap holder.

Talking about the match, Chahal’s four wickets helped Rajasthan Royals register a three-run win against Lucknow Super Giants while defending a target of 166 runs.

In the last over, Rajasthan needed 15 runs to defend and young Kuldeep Sen bowled brilliantly against Marcus Stoinis to help his team win by three runs. With this win, Rajasthan’s team reached the top of the points table.

Bolt gave a brilliant start to the Rajasthan team defending the target of 166 runs and gave a double blow to Lucknow in the very first over. Boult dismissed captain KL Rahul and Krishnappa Gautam in the first two balls.

Rajasthan Royals were struggling at 67 for 4 at one point of time but thanks to Shimron Hetmyer’s unbeaten 59, the team reached a respectable score of 165 for 6 in 20 overs. Ravichandran Ashwin shared a 68-run partnership with Hetmyer but he retired for 28 in the 19th over.
