Mumbai: Something happened in Rajasthan’s match against Lucknow which had never happened before. This went down in the history of IPL and R Ashwin became the first player to do so. He took a big and bold decision. His decision shook the whole world.

However, he left the field without permission after being unbeaten in the 19th over of Rajasthan Royals. His decision was a shock to everyone. This has happened for the first time in the history of IPL. This is called retired out.

First time ‘retired out’ player in IPL history
R Ashwin became the first player to retire for the first time in the history of IPL. When a batsman leaves the field without the umpire’s permission without causing injury, he is said to be retired out.

In such a situation, if R Ashwin wants to return to the field, then he cannot go. Once a player retires, he cannot return to the field to bat.

Mastering by taking advantage of Ashwin’s rules
Ashwin came to bat at number six in the 10th over. He decided to retire in the 19th over. He had no idea. Not even his partner, Shimron Hetmyer.

When Shimron Hetmyer was asked about it, he said that he knows nothing about it. I knew when he left the crease and went straight into the dugout. But the decision he took was a good one. Shimron also said that R Ashwin was feeling very tired.

He hit a six when Parag came to the crease. R Ashwin contributed 28 runs in 23 balls. He did not give any explanation as to why R Ashwin did this. But team players speculate that he did it because he was tired.

Rajasthan beat Lucknow by 3 runs. After this thrilling win, Rajasthan’s team has reached the first place in the points table. R Ashwin did well in this match. Special appreciation to Kuldeep Sen.
