Washington (USA): Days after the Joe Biden administration announced an additional $800 million in military aid to Ukraine, Russia has warned the United States of “unforeseen consequences” if the country continues to transfer weapons to Ukraine. The Washington Post reviewed a diplomatic note that Russia sent to the US this week and said the note warned that US and NATO shipments of “the most sensitive” weapons systems to Ukraine could bring “unforeseen consequences”, Aljazeera reported. “We call on the United States and its allies to stop irresponsible militarization of Ukraine, which means unforeseen consequences for regional and international security,” the note said. According to the newspaper, the shipment was “adding fuel” to the conflict, the note also said. Notably, the US military aid package included artillery systems, artillery rounds, armored personnel carriers and helicopters – and brought the total number of US aid to Ukraine since the start of Russia’s invasion to more than US$2.4 billion.
