ISLAMABAD, 08 APRIL (H.S.). Opposition parties have welcomed the Supreme Court’s decision to restore the National Assembly and vote on the no-confidence motion against the Imran government in the midst of a political crisis in Pakistan.
After the verdict, the opposition parties celebrated, saying that today the Supreme Court has saved the country by taking a brilliant decision. Opposition parties say that the Supreme Court’s decision has made it clear that Imran Khan had worked against the constitution, but his plans would not be successful. Voting will be held on the no-confidence motion on April 9 and after whatever decision comes, Parliament will carry out the further proceedings.
It is noteworthy that on April 9, voting will be held on the no-confidence motion in the Pakistan Parliament. According to the information, Imran Khan’s party PTI has a strength of 142 members in Parliament while the opposition has the support of 199 members. The opposition needs the support of 172 members to pass the no-confidence motion.
