Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh) : Over 26 people, including 15 members of the ‘solvers gang’, were taken into custody on Wednesday for writing answers to the UP Board’s English paper. Administrative officers conducted joint raids on a secret information in Thakurdwara tehsil under Kuankheda area of ​​Moradabad district of the state. The raids were conducted at two places – one in Inter College and the other in Degree College where unfair practices were being adopted during UP Board’s English exam.

On Wednesday morning, District Magistrate (DM) Shailendra Kumar Singh received a call from an unknown phone number that the answers of the English paper of the UP Board running at the examination center of BS Inter College were being solved. The solver gang was writing answers to the UP Board English paper from a nearby degree college. After getting the information, the DM asked the administrative officers to conduct raids at two places simultaneously.

The raiding team of officials visited Bhagwant Singh PG College located in Kuankheda area of ​​Moradabad at around 9 am on Wednesday and seized 15 solved answer sheets bearing the seal and signature of the superintendent and inspector of the center on these seized answer sheets. , The recovered answer sheets belonged to the BS Inter College examination center where the examinees were appearing for the UP Board English paper.

The distance between Bhagwant Singh PG College and BS Inter College is around 300 meters. The police detained 26 people, including four women, two teachers of the Basic Education Department and Shiksha Mitras, and by night, action was initiated against 30 people.

Based on a written complaint lodged by District School Inspector Dr Arun Kumar Dubey, a case has been registered against the ‘Solvers’ gang under sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471 and 120B of IPC as well as sections 3,5 . ,8 and 10 of the Uttar Pradesh Board of Secondary Education Examination Rules.
