Rajbagh police got 10 cattle freed, driver absconded, case registered

The police are making efforts to smuggle cattle every day, but even then this business is in full swing. On Friday, the district police freed a total of 10 animals from smugglers in Kathua area after thwarting the animal smuggling attempt. According to the guidelines of SSP Kathua Rameshchandra Kotwal, under the supervision of Police Station Rajbagh in-charge Amit Sangra under the leadership of SDPO Border Sanchit Mahajan, the team of Rajbagh Police stopped the vehicle number JK02AL-3565 for Latashi on the basis of suspicion by putting a block on the National Highway Rajbagh, Which was coming from Kathua side and was to go towards Kashmir.

At the same time, a total of 10 cattle were freed from the vehicle during the search. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the darkness of night, the driver managed to escape. In this regard, the Rajbagh police station has taken possession of the vehicle and registered a case and started further investigation. On the other hand, SSP Kathua said that Kathua Police is taking all possible steps to check the menace of bovine smuggling. He appealed to the public to share information about bovine smuggling with the police and the identity of the informer would be kept confidential.
