The railway administration had arrived with full preparation to remove encroachments near the railway station and on roads like Sakchi-Jugsalai. The shopkeepers were sweating after seeing the big JCB machines and the police force. Everyone was worried that today their means of livelihood i.e. their shops would be destroyed.

But, just as the action was about to begin, there was a ‘break’. Railways has postponed today’s operation.

Why did the bulldozer stop?
The question in the minds of shopkeepers and local people is that why was the action stopped after everything was ready? It is being said that behind this Human aspects and administrative interference Was the main reason.
When the Railway team and RPF reached the spot, the shopkeepers present there asked for time. He said that they should be given some more time to remove their belongings. If the shops collapse suddenly, they will suffer losses worth lakhs.

Besides, some things also came to light regarding the coordination between the local district administration and the police. In view of the tension on the spot and to ensure that law and order does not deteriorate, it was decided to postpone the action for the time being.

Shopkeepers say that they have been running their homes here for years by doing small business. Where will they go if they are suddenly removed? Listening to their plea, they have been given ‘groom’ for the time being.

Railways is committed to making its land encroachment free. Shopkeepers have been advised to remove the illegal construction themselves, otherwise next time they may not get such a concession.

At present, smiles have returned on the faces of dozens of shopkeepers who thought that today was the last day of their shop.
