Railway held a meeting with civil administration regarding Kumbh Mela

Prayagraj, 08 July (HS). A meeting was held with the civil administration regarding Kumbh Mela in the “Sankalp” auditorium of Prayagraj division under the chairmanship of Additional Divisional Railway Manager (General Administration) Prayagraj Sanjay Singh. During this, the plan was reviewed to finalize the movement plan of the railway station from the fair area. The civil administration shared detailed information about the movement plan from the railway stations of Prayagraj region through a power point presentation.

It is worth mentioning that Prayagraj region comprises Prayagraj Junction, Prayagraj Chheoki, Naini and Subedarganj railway stations, Prayagraj Junction, Phaphamau and Prayagraj Sangam railway stations of Lucknow Division Northern Railway and Prayagraj Rambagh and Jhunsi railway stations of Varanasi Division North Eastern Railway. These were discussed.

In the meeting, discussions were held for the safe and easy transportation of a large number of devotees coming for the royal bath on special festivals like Paush Purnima, Makar Sankranti, Mauni Amavasya, Basant Panchami, Maghi Purnima and Maha Shivratri. Details of all the routes going to and coming from all these railway stations of Prayagraj region to the Sangam area were kept. How will the arrangements for entry and exit of passengers from the stations be made and which routes will the devotees take to go for the fair and how much crowd is expected on which route, what will be the alternative routes, this was presented on the screen and an in-depth discussion was held.

Public Relations Officer Amit Kumar Singh said that according to statistics and estimates, crores of devotees participate in the Kumbh Mela. People come here from every state and every corner of the country and people from hundreds of countries across the world also come here to see this grand event. Amidst all these possibilities, plans were made and discussed.

Singh; Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Freight Shashikant Tripathi, Senior Divisional Safety Commissioner Railway Protection Force Vijay Prakash Pandit; Senior Divisional Safety Commissioner Railway Protection Force Varanasi S Ramakrishnan; Station Director Prayagraj Junction V K Dwivedi; ADM Mela Dayanand Prasad; ADM Mela Vivek Trivedi and other senior officers were present.
