Rahul Gandhi stops Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra midway and goes to Wayanad

Bhadohi, 17th February (HS). Rahul Gandhi postponed his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra on Saturday and went to Wayanad. We will start our journey from Prayagraj on Sunday i.e. 18th February. Whereas as per protocol he had to rest for the night in Bhadohi and start the journey from here the next morning.

The Congress leader left the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra midway and went to his parliamentary constituency Wayanad in Tamil Nadu. He was contacting people during his visit in Varanasi but due to some important work in Wayanad, he left for Wayanad directly from Lal Bahadur Shastri International Airport at 5 pm.

Under the Bharat Jodo Naya Yatra programme, he had to spend the night at Bhadohi. Whereas before this he would reach his scheduled resting place Munshilalpur via Rajpura, Indira Mill in Bhadohi. But he had to postpone his journey to Bhadohi midway and go to Wayanad. During this time, a large number of people were present to see him but they had to return disappointed.

Congress Party's National General Secretary Rajesh Tiwari told the media that Rahul Gandhi stopped his journey in Varanasi for important work and went to Wayanad. His presence was much needed in Wayanad. That's why he could not reach Bhadohi. He will start the journey on 18th February from Prayagraj at 3 o'clock. In response to a question regarding Priyanka Gandhi's absence, he said that Priyanka ji was unwell and that is why she could not attend the yatra.

In this regard, senior Congress leader Jairam Ramesh has also informed by tweeting that Rahul Gandhi has a special need in Wayanad, hence he is postponing the Bharat Jodo Yatra. He will start his journey from Prayagraj on 18th February. But the party people did not provide information as to for what specific purpose Rahul Gandhi stopped the Bharat Jodo Nyaya Yatra and left for Wayanad.
