In the last three months, the price of pulses has become cheaper by about 10 percent. The common man has got a lot of relief from the fall in the price of pulses during the festive season. In July this year, the price of Arhar (tur) dal in Indore market was Rs 118 per kg. Which has now reduced to Rs 99 per kg on October 4. If we look at this year till now from July, the price of Toor dal has declined by 16 percent.
Increase in price of gram dal
However, the price of chana dal has increased in the last three-four months. In July this year, the price of chana dal in Indore mandi was Rs 69 per kg, which has now increased to Rs 76 per kg on October 4. That means the price of gram dal has increased by 10 percent during this period.
urad dal became cheaper
Meanwhile, urad dal has also become cheaper in these three-four months. Talking about Indore Mandi, the price of urad dal here on July 3 was Rs 93 per kg. Which has reduced to Rs 82 per kg on October 4. Accordingly, the price of urad dal has declined by 12 percent in the last three-four months.
Consumer Affairs Department Secretary Nidhi Khare said that this year the sowing of Kharif pulses is 7 percent more than last year. And the condition of the crop is also very good. Now preparations for Rabi sowing are going on. Khare says that the Agriculture Department is focusing on pulses producing states to achieve self-sufficiency in pulses.
