Varanasi, May 27 (HS). Congress leaders celebrated the death anniversary of the country's first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru on Monday. On the 60th death anniversary, a tribute meeting was organized at the central election office of State Congress President Ajay Rai, the candidate of India Alliance from Varanasi, located in Lahurabir.
In the meeting, state president Ajay Rai said that it was Prime Minister Nehru who gave DLW to Banaras. For the last ten years, the country's Prime Minister and Kashi's MP stay there. Its name was also changed but no one else could give DLW to Banaras. Ajay Rai said that Pandit Nehru laid the foundation of modern India and laid the foundation of a developing scientific India through basic industries, dams, education and research institutes and planned development etc. Nehru is the foundation of the qualities that are considered to be India today. In the meeting, Congress people paid homage to Pandit Nehru's picture. Dr. C.P. Rai, Prof. Satish Kumar Rai, Dinesh Kumar Singh, Shiv Pandey, Anshu Awasthi, Shailendra Singh, Dr. Nripendra Narayan Singh etc. were present in it.
