Prayagraj, 27 July (HS). A health check-up camp was organized in the Saraswati campus on Saturday under the joint aegis of the Health Science Department of Uttar Pradesh Rajarshi Tandon Open University and Vineeta Hospital. Inaugurating the camp, Vice Chancellor Professor Satyakam said that diseases can be kept away only by a healthy lifestyle. A healthy lifestyle is the key to a happy life. Along with regular exercise, a balanced diet and a healthy environment are necessary.
Prof. Satyakam said that on the instructions of Chancellor and Governor Smt. Anandiben Patel, the university has been organizing regular health checkup camps in the university campus in collaboration with various voluntary organizations. In today's fast-paced life, health checkup is a very important task. Every person must get a health checkup done twice a year, so that we can get the correct information about our health.
On this occasion, there was a crowd of teachers and employees for the health checkup. More than 75 people got their health checkup done. The hospital management checked weight, height, pulse rate, oxygen level, sugar and blood pressure etc. Doctors took the anemia in women seriously and suggested consuming tonic to increase blood. Most of the cases in the health checkup were related to sugar and blood pressure. Many people who were feeling tired during work came to know for the first time that they were facing problems of sugar and blood pressure due to disruption in their daily routine.
Prof. Meera Pal, in-charge of Health Science Faculty, expressed her gratitude to the doctors and paramedical team from the hospital management. Registrar Colonel Vinay Kumar presented the outline of the event and thanked Vice Chancellor Prof. Satyakam for the success of the event.
