– Foundation stone of 35 Road Under Bridge will also be laid/inaugurated
Ahmedabad, 22 February (HS). Prime Minister Narendra Modi will dedicate to the country a Rs 41,000 crore project of redevelopment of 554 stations and laying the foundation stone/inauguration of 1500 road overbridges/underbridges through video conferencing on February 26, in which the foundation stone of redevelopment of 09 stations including Ahmedabad of Ahmedabad division, 19 road bridges will be laid. The foundation stone of underbridge/underpass and inauguration of 16 road underbridge/underpass will be done by the Prime Minister.
Among the 9 stations of Ahmedabad division, major upgradation of Ahmedabad Railway Station and redevelopment of Maninagar, Chandlodiya, Vatva, Samakhyali, Sidhpur, Unjha, Mahesana and Bhiladi stations will be done at a cost of more than Rs 233 crore under Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Along with this, to solve the traffic problem, Asarwa, Goraghuma, Chandlodiya, Vatva, Anjar, Ratnal, Bhuj, Dhinoj, Chhapi, Kamli, Mahesana, Jagudan, Kalol, Chandkheda, Viramgam on Ahmedabad division at a cost of about Rs 230 crore. The foundation stone of 35 road under bridges will be laid/inaugurated by the Honorable Prime Minister at various places in , Sadla, Bajana, Jat Pipli, Vasadwa, Ghanshyam Garh, Sukhpur and Halvad.
With the aim of modernizing the railway stations and improving the facilities, the Government of India has started the project of construction of world class railway station on modular concept, under which it will be redeveloped as a grand and world class station by providing state-of-the-art facilities. The station will have facilities like world class building, booking and parcel office, lift, escalator, concourse, AC waiting room, convenient parking, modern coach guidance display board, announce system, Wi-Fi, modern CCTV system, adequate lighting etc.
The unprecedented transformation of Indian Railways stations will make every Indian proud and every tourist will be surprised by the speed at which the transformation has taken place. On the other hand, passengers will get the benefit of modern facilities at the stations, while on the other hand, construction of road underbridge/underpass will make it easier for people to cross the railway tracks.
