Police stopped Shri Ramlala Puja Committee from making pandal | News India

Ranchi, September 13 (HS). Police on Friday stopped the construction of Durga Puja pandal being built in Purana Vidhan Sabha Maidan of Jagarnathpur police station area of ​​Ranchi. Here, Shri Ramlala Puja Committee is building a pandal in the format of Shri Ramlala temple of Ayodhya Dham. Its cost is Rs 98 lakh. There is anger among the committee members due to stopping the construction of pandal. Hatia MLA Naveen Jaiswal and Ranchi MLA CP Singh have also expressed displeasure. Puja Committee General Secretary Kunal Ajmani said that the construction work of the Puja pandal was going on in the ground for 13 days. Jagarnathpur police station suddenly reached and ordered the artisans and laborers building the Puja pandal to stop work. Whereas this place has been rented by paying Rs 8 lakh to HEC. A meeting of many Puja committees of the city was held regarding the matter of stopping the pandal construction.

In the meeting, it was said to send a letter to the senior officials of the district administration to inform them before the construction of the Puja pandal. Kunal Ajmani said that the officials did not give any guidelines regarding the construction of the Puja pandal. Now when half the pandal is built, obstacles are being created. Hatia MLA Naveen Jaiswal said that now this Puja pandal will be built. He said that there is a lot of crowd in the Puja pandals built in the middle of the city. Keeping this in mind, this Puja pandal is being constructed on the outskirts of the city. The police have stopped the construction of the pandal citing orders from above. Whose order is this from above? This is being done only for appeasement.

Kunal Ajmani said that when the members of Shri Ramlala Puja Committee met the Jagannathpur police station in-charge on this issue, he said that the pandal was being constructed without permission, due to which it was stopped. The police station in-charge said that the construction of the pandal can be started only after getting the order from senior officials.

On the other hand, the committee informed that a meeting will be held with Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth near the pandal on Saturday.
