Kanpur, 30 October (Hindustan Reporter). Mohsin Raza, former minister of Uttar Pradesh government and cricket player, is continuously exposing the actions of Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA). Now his allegations seem to have merit, because the person from whom Rs 10 lakh was taken in the name of selection has now taken refuge in the police. ACP has issued a notice to record his statement against those who assaulted him for demanding money back.
Layers of corruption are being revealed day by day in Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association. Corruption is happening here in many ways, the most important of which is extortion from cricket players in the name of selection. Mohsin Raza, former minister of Uttar Pradesh government and cricket player, is equally vocal about this. The information about what action is being taken so far on their complaints is not being made public yet, but the people who have given money in the name of selection, whose name is being taken by Mohsin Raza, have now started coming forward. When he asked for the money back after not being selected, it is alleged that five people in Kamla Club beat him up and threatened him. Due to the large scale of the case, the victims did not reach the police, but the victim Satyaprakash Yadav took refuge in the police. Swarupnagar Assistant Police Commissioner Inder Prakash Singh is investigating the case.
ACP Inder Prakash Singh said on Saturday that an investigation has come to me from the department, in which the victim Satyaprakash Yadav, resident of Reserve Police Line, alleges that in the name of cricket selection, Mohd. Akram and Anurag Mishra have taken a total of Rs 10 lakh at different times. When money was demanded due to lack of selection, his special persons Jasmer Dhankar, Siddharth Pandey, Gujnan Khan, Kunal Tyagi and Nadeem called him to Kamla Club on 28th September for talks. There they beat me up and threatened me saying that if you demand money then the consequences will be dangerous.
ACP said that the matter is being investigated and notice has been issued to all the accused to ensure that their statement is recorded. Even after the notice, no one has yet recorded their statement and further action is being taken.
