Pratapgarh, August 10 (HS). The police arrested a person who was committing fraud in the name of providing education and sent him to jail on Saturday. The arrested person was also collecting money in the name of a fake medical college.
Superintendent of Police Anil Kumar, while revealing the case, told the journalists that this education mafia was operating in Sangramgarh police station area. An institute named 'Gateway College of Pharmacy and Medical College' collected huge amounts of money from a large number of students by promising to make failed students pass and to provide various courses and diplomas at low fees. After two months, the college was closed and a 'Mangarh Resort' was built there. The students were given fake degrees on false and forged documents. When the students came to know about this fraud and protested, the college manager beat them up and abused them.
The victim students complained about this matter to the Sangramgarh police station. On the orders of the Superintendent of Police, an investigation was started and a case was registered immediately. In the investigation conducted by Area Officer Lalganj, Ram Surat Sonkar, college manager Ashish Kumar Yadav was arrested. A large number of fake documents and equipment used to make them were recovered from Ashish Yadav.
Superintendent of Police said that the police team is further investigating the matter and strict legal action is being taken against the accused.
