Let us tell you that Vishwanath Gupta, a resident of Mohalla Sadar Bazar of the city, closed his jewellery shop in Tarangaj at 5 pm on Thursday evening as usual and left for home in an e-rickshaw. As soon as his rickshaw reached near Santoshi Mata temple, three unknown miscreants riding a Pulsar bike came from behind and snatched his bag at gunpoint and ran away. In which there were gold jewellery worth about three lakhs, 50 thousand rupees in cash and silver jewellery.

Soon the news of the robbery of the bullion trader reached the police as well as the city. People were shocked by the robbery of the bullion trader in broad daylight, however the police who reached the spot could not deny the incident. The police immediately registered a case of robbery under section 309 (4) BNS against unknown robbers on the complaint of the bullion trader and started searching for the robbers. Not only this, but the traders were also assured that the incident would be revealed soon.

Almost 36 hours have passed since the incident but the police have not found anything that could lead to a breakthrough in the case. If sources are to be believed, this incident that took place in broad daylight in the middle of the city has raised questions on the credibility of the police. Due to which the businessmen of the city are in shock and they fear for their safety.
