Scientists of Geneva University have discovered a hellish planet which they had never imagined. The name of this planet is Wasp-76B. The weather here is very bad. There is wind but it blows very fast. The amount of iron particles in the air is very high. The temperature during the day is two thousand degrees Celsius. That means it melts. The surprising thing is that this planet is locked to its own star. That means it is connected.
Like our moon. That is why a strong wind moves around it. It also contains more iron particles. This constant is sometimes less and sometimes more in the atmosphere. That is, there are layers of iron particles. Which melt during the day due to high temperature while falling on the surface of the planet.
Molten iron particles fall from the hot winds blowing at high speed
It is an exoplanet. That means outer planet. External because it is not in our solar system. Since 1990, scientists have discovered 5200 such exoplanets. Many of these are as big as Jupiter and Saturn. Some are rocky and some are clayey. But it is not yet known whether these are habitable or not.
Earth About 640 light years away from
Wasp-76b has attracted a lot of attention recently. It is an extremely hot gas planet. It is about 640 light years away from our Earth. This planet of the Pisces constellation was discovered in the year 2013. Since then it is being studied. It is very close to its host. It completes one orbit of its star in just 1.8 days.
New information on the discovery of iron particles
One part of it always remains in light. The other part remains in darkness. So mercury is two thousand degrees hot in a day. Iron particles keep floating in the air. But at night the iron particles cool down in the air and settle on the ground. Recently scientists of Geneva University have discovered iron particles. These have been published in the journal Astronomy and Astrophysics.
