In Varanasi, there has been a record increase in both tourists and the income of Baba Vishwanath Dham in the first half of 2024 as compared to the first half (January-June) of 2023. During this period, the income of the Dham has increased by 24.66 percent in 2024 as compared to 2023, while the number of devotees has increased by 45.76 percent.
One crore five lakh more devotees came than last year

Vishwa Bhushan Mishra, Chief Executive Officer of Shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple Trust, said that from the year 2023 (January to June), 2 crore, 29 lakh, 79 thousand, 137 devotees had darshan of Baba, while in 2024, within this time period, 3 crore, 34 lakh, 94 thousand, 933 devotees have attended Baba's court. This is 1 crore, 5 lakh, 15 thousand, 796 (1,05,15,796) more than last year. At the same time, the Dham had 38 crore 29 lakh, 77 thousand, 214 in the first half of 2023, while in the first half of 2024, the income has increased to 47 crore, 74 lakh, 13 thousand, 890. This is 9 crore, 44 lakh, 36 thousand, 676 (9,44,36,676) more.
