Prayagraj, 27 April (HS). Phaphamau Club defeated Daulat Hussain Inter College by nine wickets and reached the final of Santosh Dixit Memorial T-20 Cashmoney Cricket Competition. Left arm spinner Priyanshu Yadav's accurate bowling (4-0-25-5) played an important role in this victory.
In the second semi-final match played on Saturday at Daulat Hussain College ground, after winning the toss, they scored 67 runs (Anas Ahmed 15, Priyanshu Yadav 5/25, Nitin Yadav 2/08, Dhruv Pratap Singh 2/29) in 12.3 overs. In reply, Phaphamau Club scored 70 runs for one wicket in 6.2 overs (Gaurav Pathak 40 not out, Shashank Mehrotra 1/33). Priyanshu Yadav was given the Man of the Match award by former AGUP cricketer Askari Abbas.
According to competition general secretary Kaleem Khan and organizing secretary Imroz Ali, the final match will be played on Sunday (April 28) between Chaudhary Naunihal Club and Phaphamau Club at 1 pm.
The award distribution ceremony to be held at 5 pm will be attended by Dr. Jyoti Bhushan, MS (Surgery), former Senior Resident, Department of Gastro, Surgery-Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, New Delhi. Gynecologist Dr. Shreya Dixit, CUPL Director Robin Dixit and CUPL Dr. Prashant will be present as special guests.
