Meerut, 17 September (HS). On Tuesday, people protested at the SSP office over lack of action in the murder case of a former soldier's son in Gagan Kunj Colony located in TP Nagar police station area. They said that even after filing a complaint, the police is not arresting anyone.
Retired soldier Ramveer Singh, a resident of Gangan Kunj Colony, reached the SSP office on Tuesday and protested. Complaining to the SSP, he said that the body of his son Rajat Nayak was found in suspicious condition on 11 September. It is alleged that Vansh, a resident of the same colony, had taken Rajat with him. The victim's family says that the slippers found on Rajat's feet were not his. The family members suspected his murder and filed a written complaint accusing Vansh, Abhishek and Tushar of murder, but the police station has not taken any action yet.
Ramveer Singh said that his son Rajat was in love with a girl named Manisha who lived nearby. Due to this, the accused killed his son. The police officer conducting the public hearing assured to take impartial action after conducting an investigation. He also directed the police station to take action in this case.
