Parliament Special Session: Before the special session of Parliament starting from Monday, Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar hoisted the tricolor on the building of the new Parliament House on Sunday. During this, leaders including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Union Minister Prahlad Joshi, Piyush Goyal, Arjun Ram Meghwal were present.
Let us tell you here that from the opposition side, Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge and party MP Rahul Gandhi did not attend.
Bengal Congress President and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury was included. After the program was over, when journalists asked questions about the absence of Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, Adhir got angry.
Adhir Ranjan Chaudhary replied, Is it not enough that I have come here? If I am of no use here, let me know and I will leave. While advising the media, he said that they should focus only on the people who came to the program.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge has accused the party of delaying the invitation for the flag hoisting program in the new Parliament House. He said he was at the Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting in Hyderabad when he received the invitation.
He has also written a letter to Rajya Sabha General Secretary PC Modi in this regard. In which he said, “I am very sad to tell you that I received an invitation for the flag hoisting ceremony at the new Parliament House on the late evening of 15th September.”
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge is currently participating in the meeting of the newly formed Congress Working Committee. He is likely to return to Delhi on Sunday night. So he has said that it is not possible for him to participate in this program.
