Pakistan's Information Minister Ataullah Tarar said that the government has decided to ban Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. This demand will also be placed before the Supreme Court. It is worth noting that Imran Khan formed the PTI party in 1996. After 22 years i.e. in 2018, his party came to power and Imran Khan became the Prime Minister. It is worth noting that the political innings of former Pakistan cricket team captain Imran Khan was bad and he had to step down after losing the confidence motion in 2022.
Reason for demanding ban on PTI
Despite performing well after the general elections of Pakistan, Imran Khan's party could not form the government. Many parties including Nawaz Sharif's party PML-N and Asif Ali Zardari's PPP formed an alliance against Imran Khan. Imran Khan was arrested after leaving office in April. On May 9, 2022, after the arrest of Imran Khan in the Toshakha case, his supporters created a ruckus. During this, many Pakistani army bases were also attacked. It is believed that this incident is being considered as an anti-national activity. Due to which the government will now go to the Supreme Court and demand a ban on PTI.
