13 members of a family have died after consuming poisonous milk in Pakistan's Sindh province. Police said the incident took place on August 19 in Haibat Khan Brohi village near Khairpur. The victims have been identified.
The police further said that some relatives had suspected that the victims might have been poisoned as the head of the family was having a land dispute with some people.
Poison found in milk
According to a government official, after investigation in the laboratory located in Sakkur, it was found that the family members had consumed milk on the day they died. There was some poisonous substance in it. The report revealed that there was a poisonous substance in the body of the deceased.
Police started investigation
According to a police officer from Khairpur, Pakistan, the police is investigating from every angle. He said, “We will proceed with the case carefully.” But to decide this, those responsible for the incident will have to be punished.
73 people died in the attack
It is worth noting that in August, at least 73 people were killed in an attack by militants on a highway, railway bridge and police station in Balochistan, Pakistan's most troubled region. While the security forces have claimed to have killed 21 attackers. The Baloch rebels carried out this attack on the 18th birthday of Nawab Akbar Bugti, the leader of the Bugti tribe.
