Bareilly, August 17 (HS). Doctors in SRMS Medical College continued their protest on Saturday in the case of rape and murder of a junior doctor in Kolkata. On Saturday, all the doctors in the medical college held a meeting and expressed their anger over the Kolkata incident and made a strategy in this matter. Along with this, the interns, junior residents, residents, faculty of the medical college along with MBBS and PG students also participated in the protest. Everyone gathered at the main reception with banners and posters.
The doctors demanded the arrest of the culprits involved in the Kolkata incident, proper compensation to the victim's family and proper security to all the doctors. All the doctors took out a protest march in the campus and reached Nainital Road protesting. During this, the OPD service was completely affected. The MBBS students of the medical college had protested on 13 August and the PG students on 15 August against the Kolkata incident.
