The above things were said by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He addressed the inaugural ceremony of the 73rd All India Police Wrestling Cluster-2024. CM Yogi congratulated the participants in the competition.

Medal winning players were linked with direct recruitment
CM Yogi said that under the guidance of PM Modi, a comprehensive action plan has been taken forward for sports and sports activities in Uttar Pradesh. We have also made a sports policy. Action is being taken to make the players who win medals in Olympics, Commonwealth, Asian Games and World Championships a part of Uttar Pradesh Police Force through direct recruitment. So far, we have associated more than 500 such players with the process of direct recruitment in Uttar Pradesh Police. Their excellent performance is contributing to giving new momentum to the Uttar Pradesh Police Force today. Uttar Pradesh is the state that is taking forward the program of building playgrounds in 57000 gram panchayats, mini stadiums in 825 development blocks and stadiums in 75 districts on a war footing to promote sports activities.
The names may be different, but the mission is the same – security of India
The Chief Minister said that the names may be different but the work and mission of all is the same and that is the security of India. This is of utmost importance to all of us. Be it the India-Nepal border or the India-Bhutan border, the SSB is making great efforts to protect these borders without affecting India's social, cultural and political relations with these countries. Uttar Pradesh has a border of 550 km with Nepal. The Uttar Pradesh Police participates in joint patrolling with the SSB. If we fulfill the responsibility of national security together, we will also earn the trust of the common people in the border areas. If these programs move forward through excellent coordination with the belief that we will not let any scratch come anywhere along with security, then many creative activities are also presented by the SSB for the people of that area.
