Parliament Special Session 2023: On the very first day of the special session of Parliament, there was a heated argument between Rajya Sabha Speaker Jagdeep Dhankhar and Leader of Opposition Mallikarjun Kharge. He said that whenever any important issue is discussed, the opposition walks out. When Kharge thanked him after the speech, the Chairman also made fun of him. He said that you at least said thank you.
Kharge also attacked PM Modi. He said that Nehru believed that the absence of a strong opposition meant that there were significant flaws in the system. If there is no strong opposition it is not worth it.
He further said that now that the opposition is strong, its focus is on weakening it through ED, CBI.
