Wellington: Host New Zealand has put Sri Lanka under pressure in the second Test match being played at the Basin Reserve ground. New Zealand scored a brilliant score against Sri Lanka with the help of brilliant double centuries from Kane Williamson and Henry Nicholls. New Zealand declared their first innings at 580 for the loss of four wickets on Saturday, the second day of the second match. Williamson got out after scoring 215 runs. Apart from him, Niklas played an unbeaten inning of 200 runs. New Zealand declared their innings just one run after Nicklaus’ double century.
By the end of the day’s play, he also gave two shocks to Sri Lanka. Sri Lanka lost their two wickets for 26 runs till stumps. By the end of the day’s play, captain Dimuth Karunaratne was playing on 16 and Prabhat Jayasuriya was scoring four runs.

Williamson and Nicklas showed their strength

In this case, the partnership of Williamson and Nicklas comes at number five.
This is Williamson’s third consecutive century innings. He also scored a century in the first Test match against Sri Lanka and before that he also scored a century against England. Nickels touched the figure of 200 for the first time in his Test career. Williamson got out on a total score of 481. He faced 296 balls in his innings and hit four sixes apart from 15 fours. Daryl Mitchell became the victim of Kasun Rachita by scoring 17 runs. Then Niklas completed his double century on the fifth ball of the 123rd over. Sri Lanka got initial shocks
