Azamgarh, 3 August (HS). Deputy Inspector General of Police, Azamgarh Range, Vaibhav Krishna is going to start a new initiative for effective hearing and quality disposal of police related complaints and registered cases of people coming to police stations in the three districts of the range (Azamgarh, Mau, Ballia), which is named 'Vaadi Diwas'. In 'Vaadi Diwas', effective hearing and quality disposal of cases of simple assault, serious injury, attempt to murder etc., property related crimes, and crimes related to women will be done. Vadi Diwas will be organized once a month at all police stations and once a month at the district headquarters as well.
According to the instructions issued from the office of DIG Azamgarh range on Saturday, Vadi Diwas will be organized in all the police stations in Azamgarh district on the first Tuesday of every month, second Tuesday in Mau and third Tuesday in Ballia. The Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police and CO of the circle and at least two police stations will participate in the Vadi Diwas. In which the CO will review the cases received in the Vadi Diwas and will meet the maximum number of plaintiffs and review the action being taken in the case with the concerned plaintiff and police station in-charge / investigating officer. The Circle Officer will definitely meet the plaintiffs of those investigations which are pending for a period of 3 months to 6 months on Vadi Diwas and review the investigation of the case.
On Vadi Diwas, the plaintiffs of the case will be informed by all the police station in-charges in writing 3 days before the Vadi Diwas to come on Vadi Diwas. Vadi Diwas
Vadi Diwas will be organized in two shifts. The first shift will be held from 12:00 PM to 02:00 PM and the second shift will be held from 03:00 PM to 04:00 PM. Sensational crimes which are yet to be exposed will be covered in Vadi Diwas. Plaintiffs whose investigation is pending for 06 months will be covered.
Complainants of body related crimes (simple assault, serious injury, attempt to murder etc.) registered in the last one month.
Complainants of property related crimes (chain snatching, robbery, burglary, theft, vehicle theft) registered in the last one month.
The plaintiff of crimes against women (kidnapping, molestation, POCSO and rape) registered in the last one month will not be called to the police station, but the case will be reviewed. The plaintiffs of such cases identified from the IGRS references of the last one month, which seem important to the police station in-charge, will be called.
On Vadi Diwas, at each police station level, the station in-charge will review the progress of the cases with the plaintiffs of the above cases and the concerned investigators.

He will review the cases and talk to as many litigants as possible and personally review the proceedings in their cases. He will give proper instructions to the investigators and if negligence is found on the part of any investigator/police station in-charge, he will take action as per the rules.
Apart from this, Vadi Diwas will also be organized at the district level on the fourth Tuesday of every month, in which the District Superintendent of Police will call the plaintiffs of such cases to the police line and review them with the concerned investigators, which are pending for a period of 01 year or more. Additional Superintendent of Police and CO will also be present in this Vadi Diwas.
All the officers will specially review these points on plaintiff day, whether the plaintiff's case was written smoothly? After writing the case, did the investigating officer/Police Station in-charge contact the applicant within 24 hours? Did the investigating officer/Police Station in-charge inform the applicant from time to time about the progress of the case? Is the reviewing officer satisfied with the disclosure, arrest, charge sheet status in the case and the disposal of the case or not.
