Now trained farmers will do insect rearing at home, income will increase

Mirzapur, 25 October (Hindustan Reporter). The training of the fourth batch of Eri Silk at the Government Silk Training Institute located in Barkachha concluded on Friday. In this, 44 farmers including 18 from Kanpur city and 26 from Kanpur rural were given training in sericulture. All the beneficiaries are associated with Eri Sericulture.

Assistant Director Silk Ranbir Singh said that most of these farmers have been selected for the work of silkworm rearing for the first time. After training, farmers will do insect rearing at home. The farmers were given training in a five-day training by the scientists and departmental officers of the Central Silk Board related to Eri silk production. By conducting experimental work on silkworm rearing, he explained about insect rearing and the diseases occurring in it and its treatment. By doing the work of silkworm rearing, we will definitely be able to increase the income by increasing the silk production.
