News India Live, Digital Desk: Amidst the second phase of the budget session of Parliament, Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav has raised the political temperature by making a strong tweet. Akhilesh Yadav, citing the war-like situation at the global level (West Asia War), has demanded that now the priorities of the Parliament should be changed. Making a direct attack on the central government, he alleged that India’s foreign policy has been ‘mortgaged’ and now the decisions are not being taken by the country but by external powers (America).

Akhilesh Yadav raised these 5 big questions in his tweet

The SP chief said that when there was a recess in the budget session, the situation was different, but today there is a ‘wartime’ atmosphere. He suggested these issues for discussion:

India’s stance on war: What is India’s clear stand and opinion in the context of the current global crisis and war?

Foreign Policy Issue: Is India’s foreign policy under anyone’s pressure? Akhilesh has given it a serious word like ‘mortgage’.

Oil and Supplies: Is India able to take ‘self-determination’ on essential supplies like oil or is it following orders?

Safety of stranded Indians: What concrete steps have been taken for the safe return of Indian citizens and media persons who are stuck in the midst of war abroad?

Changing Priorities: Questions related to the country’s security and sovereignty should be debated immediately in Parliament.

‘America is deciding from whom we should buy oil’

Akhilesh Yadav, while speaking to the media in the Parliament complex, also said that “It is a matter of concern that America is deciding from whom we should buy oil and from whom not.” He has demanded that these issues be given priority in the meeting of floor leaders.

Opposition uproar and House proceedings

Many opposition leaders including Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi also demonstrated in the House on these issues. Due to this tough stance of the opposition, the second part of the budget session is likely to be quite turbulent. On behalf of the government, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju hit back and said that the government is ready to discuss every issue, but the opposition is obstructing the proceedings of the House.
