News India Live, Digital Desk: This decision of BRABU will directly benefit lakhs of girl students of various districts of North Bihar including Muzaffarpur. The university has issued instructions to all constituent and affiliated colleges not to charge enrollment or tuition fees from girl students.
1. Which courses will be exempted?
This rule will mainly apply to General courses:
Undergraduate (UG): B.A. (BA), B.Sc and B.Com.
Post Graduate (PG): MA. (MA), M.Sc and M.Com.
Note: Fee structure may be different for vocational courses and self-financing courses, hence please confirm with the college before enrolment.
2. Basis of fee waiver
State Government Resolution: Bihar government had announced free education for girl students in 2015 itself. BRABU administration has now ordered to implement it strictly.
Last due: The university administration has instructed the colleges that if fees have been taken from a student by mistake, then it should be adjusted in the future fees or refunded.
3. What will be the benefits to girl students?

Recently there were reports of some colleges charging separate fees for PG, on which students protested. Of the university DSW Prof. Alok Pratap Singh has clarified that if any college makes illegal recovery by violating the rules of the government and the university, then strict action will be taken against it.
