Amethi, 26 April (HS). Voting is to be held in Amethi district on May 20 in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha elections 2024. For which the nomination process will start from Friday 26th April (today). Nominations will be made by the candidates till May 3, nomination papers will be scrutinized on May 4 and withdrawal of nominations will take place on May 6. All preparations regarding nomination have been completed. Candidates will also have to publish their criminal history in print and electronic media at least three times during the election process.
In view of the beginning of the nomination process, all preparations like barricading, security arrangements, parking etc. have been made in the Collectorate premises. Magistrates and police officers have also been appointed everywhere. Static monitoring teams will also become active from today itself. Traffic will be completely prohibited within a radius of 100 meters from the enrollment site. Only the candidate and his proposer will be allowed to come.
A candidate can file his nomination in maximum 04 sets. Nominations will be taken from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. All the officers engaged in enrollment duty have been instructed to perform their duty cautiously at their respective duty places. 300 meters from the enrollment point. Arrangements will be made for parking of vehicles at a distance, no one will be allowed to enter within 100 meters of the nomination site. All the officers on duty were instructed to perform their duty seriously following the guidelines of the Election Commission.
