The woman further alleged that her husband tried to strangulate her with his dupatta the next day, while her brother recorded the incident on his mobile phone.

Police took notice of the incident after the woman shared a video and written complaint on social media. A case has been registered against the accused husband and brother-in-law under sections 376 (rape), 307 (attempt to murder) and 328 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Khatauli Kotwali police station.

Superintendent of Police Satyanarayan Prajapati said that efforts are being made to nab both the accused and legal action will be taken against them soon.
