Nita Ambani elected IOC member for the second time, first time in 2016

Paris Olympics 2024: The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has once again expressed confidence in Reliance Foundation founder and chairperson Nita Ambani. She has once again been unanimously elected as a member of the IOC. A total of 93 votes were cast in her favour. Nita Ambani was first elected as an IOC member in the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympic Games.

'My re-election is a matter of pride for Indians'
Nita Ambani got 100 percent votes, after which she was elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). On this occasion, she said, “I am very honored to be re-elected as a member of the International Olympic Committee. I would like to thank President Bach and all my colleagues in the IOC for believing in me. This re-election is not only a personal milestone for me but also reflects India's growing influence in the global sports arena. I want to share this moment of happiness and pride with every Indian and look forward to strengthening the Olympic movement in India and around the world.”

India House built under the leadership of Neeta
Under the leadership of Nita Ambani, India got the right to host the annual meeting of the IOC after a wait of 40 years. It was successfully organized in the year 2023 at Jio World Center in Mumbai. India House has been built for the first time under the leadership of Nita Ambani in the Olympics. Which is like a home away from India for Indian athletes, supporters and spectators in the Paris Olympics.
