HMPV (Human Meta-Pneumovirus) is being discussed a lot these days. So far, 7 cases of this virus have been reported in India, while the number of its patients is continuously increasing in China. A huge crowd is being seen in hospitals for treatment. India’s Health Minister JP Nadda said on Monday that “HMPV virus is not new and there is no need to panic over it.” However, Maharashtra and Karnataka have issued advisories regarding this.
Experts say that this virus is not as deadly as Corona, but there is concern because it targets children below 5 years of age, the elderly and youth with low immunity.
HMPV virus spreads more in winter

This virus can infect people of any age, but the following people are especially at greater risk:
