Kathmandu: The border dispute between India and Nepal has not been resolved yet, Nepal has now allowed inclusion of India's part in its notes, printing of these notes has also started. Due to which the border dispute may increase.
Nepali media claims that Nepal National Bank has ordered printing of new notes. This also includes areas like Kalapani, Lipulekh and Limpiyadhura of India.
Nepal considers these areas as its own and hence are included in the map of Nepal.
This information has been given to the media by the bank's spokesperson Diliram Pokhrel. In May this year, Nepal's Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Prachanda had decided to print new notes. The new map has also been approved by the Nepal Cabinet. Earlier, K.P. Sharma Oli's government also prepared a new political map in 2020 in which areas of India were also shown as part of Nepal. Nepal's 1850 km long border is located on the border of five Indian states Sikkim, Bengal, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
