Narmada dam level crosses 137 meters, migration of people towards bank villages begins

The areas around Ektanagar of Narmada have been evacuated. Gabhana, Pipariya, Vasantpura areas have been evacuated. People have been taken to a safe place by SOU bus. Four roads near Gora village are flooded.

In Bharuch, there is a flood crisis in the villages on the banks of Narmada at midnight. More than 15 lakh cusecs of water will be released from Sardar Sarovar Dam. Today, heavy to very heavy rain is expected in Dahod, Chhotaudepur and Narmada. The weather department has predicted heavy rain in Sabarkantha and Gandhinagar today. The weather department has also predicted heavy rain in Amreli, Kheda, Panchmahal, Chhotaudepur, Mahisagar, Vadodara, Bharuch, Surat, Dangs, Navsari, Valsad, Dadra Nagar Haveli.

Very heavy rain is expected in Dahod tomorrow. Heavy rain is expected in Banaskantha, Mehsana, Sabarkantha, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Anand, Ahmedabad, Mahisagar, Narmada, Bharuch and Tapi.
