Firozabad, August 10 (HS). The police on Saturday arrested an accused who had made another youth appear in the police recruitment exam in his place.

A case was registered against five people, including accused Salempur resident Amod Singh, in connection with a conspiracy to sit in place of the candidates and appear in the written examination for the post of constable in Uttar Pradesh Police, held on February 18 in Uttar Pradesh, at the Shikohabad police station.

Shikohabad police station in-charge Pradeep Kumar was on patrol in the area with the police team on Saturday. During this time, based on a tip-off, the wanted accused in the case, Amod Singh, was arrested from his village Salempur, police station Jasrana.

The SHO said that the accused Amod Singh was absconding since the case was registered against him. The police team was continuously searching for him. Action is being taken against him and he is being sent to jail and other accused involved in this are being searched for.
