Kanpur, 20 September (HS). By-elections are going to be held on Sisamau assembly seat and party officials and workers are continuously meeting the public. During this time, most of the public problems are coming up regarding the Municipal Corporation. Recently, Cabinet Minister Suresh Khanna and Independent Charge Minister Nitin Agarwal also visited and people also put their problems in front of them. In such a situation, the image of the government is getting tarnished in front of the public, which is not right and the Municipal Corporation should resolve all those public problems soon. City MP Ramesh Awasthi said these things after meeting Municipal Commissioner Sudhir Kumar on Friday.
A delegation led by all the Mandal Presidents of Bharatiya Janata Party Kanpur North and BJP Councilor of Sisamau Vidhansabha, MP Ramesh Awasthi and District President Deepu Pandey met Municipal Commissioner Sudhir Kumar. The MP apprised him of the public problems prevailing in the city and especially in the Sisamau Vidhansabha. District President Deepu Pandey opposed the increase in house tax and the one percent fee charged for registration in the mutation process in Nagar Nigam and KDA. He said that this is unjust and this rule should be withdrawn immediately and demanded that it be resolved at the earliest.
Mandal President Kaushalpuri Abhimanyu Saxena raised the issue of illegal construction on the Municipal Corporation land behind Thana Bajaria and above Bakarmandi drain. Along with this, the matter of months being taken in issuing birth and death certificates and the problem of jam caused by parking private buses on Municipal Corporation land in Fazalganj was raised before the Municipal Commissioner. MP Ramesh Awasthi directed the Municipal Commissioner that the zonal and lower level officers should sit every 15 days and resolve the problems of the public on the spot. During this, District President South Shivram Singh, Mandal President Prashant Pal, Karan Singh Yadav, Gaurav Pandey, Deepak Shukla, Councilor Govind Shukla, Vivek Sharma, Alok Pandey, Ankit Maurya, Pawan Gupta, Neeraj Rakhsel, and all the Mandal Presidents were present.
