Kanpur, 08 August (HS). The weather activities have changed once again and the monsoon trough which was till now stuck in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan has returned to Uttar Pradesh. In such a situation, there is a possibility of rain in Uttar Pradesh for the next three days, but this rain will be patchy and it can also take the form of drizzling rain.
Dr. S N Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad Agricultural Technology University, said on Thursday that the weather has changed in the Gangetic plains of Uttar Pradesh as the monsoon trough line has returned to its normal position via Aligarh Varanasi. Clouds have become active in almost all the districts of Uttar Pradesh and light to moderate and sometimes heavy rain is occurring. For the next three to four days, rain will continue to occur in the form of intermittent rain. This will happen due to climate change and drizzle will also be seen at some places. The weather has become pleasant due to 37 mm of rain in Kanpur today and there is a possibility of 30 to 40 mm of rain being recorded tomorrow as well. During this time, thunder and strong winds can also blow in some districts including Bundelkhand. This type of rain is very beneficial for crops, especially paddy crop and there is a possibility of better production. Apart from this, the termites in the paddy crop will also be eliminated.
He said that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 34.4 and the minimum temperature at 25.4 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 95 and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 62 percent. The wind direction was southwest with an average speed of 3.3 km per hour and rainfall was recorded at 37.0 mm. According to the weather forecast, Kanpur will remain lightly cloudy for the next five days. Along with this, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall locally with strong winds and thunderstorms till August 11.
