Saharsa, 30 November (Hindustanism). Bharatiya Janata State leader Lajwanti Jha has said that the Modi government is determined for the welfare of agriculture and farmers. As a result of this, the Union Cabinet has approved the launch of National Natural Farming Mission as a centrally sponsored scheme. Farmers will reduce the cost of farming and their dependence on resources purchased from outside.

He said that the NDA government is working to promote natural farming in mission mode on a centrally sponsored scheme under the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. The total outlay on this will be Rs 2,481 crore. Lajwanti said this will help farmers reduce the cost of farming and create and maintain healthy soil ecosystems, promote biodiversity and encourage diverse cropping systems. It will be implemented in 15,000 groups of interested Gram Panchayats. Natural farming will start in 7.5 lakh hectare area. 1 crore farmers will be benefited. 10,000 need based bio-input resource centers will be established along with about 2,000 natural farming model demonstration farms will be established. And 30,000 Krishi Sakhis and CRP will be deployed.
