Microsoft warns, China can influence Indian elections with AI

Giant tech company Microsoft has warned that China can interfere in the upcoming elections in India, America and South Korea with the help of cyber attacks.

The US company's threat intelligence team believes that pro-China hackers may join forces with a group of North Korean hackers to target the elections of the above three countries during the elections. At the same time, China is also planning to make content viral on social media platforms with the help of AI to influence the election results. It is possible that as elections approach in these three countries, videos, audios and memes created with the help of AI will be seen in large numbers on social media.

Microsoft believes that it would not be surprising if AI proves to be a powerful factor in elections in India, the US and South Korea.

Microsoft has also said in its report that during the presidential elections in Taiwan in January, China had carried out false propaganda with the help of AI. This feat was done by the Chinese government-backed cyber agency. It is also known as Storm 1376 or Spamoflaze. During the Taiwan elections, the agency was serving fake content on YouTube and had also created memes of anti-Chinese candidates in Taiwan.
