The rice made for dinner is saved manifold. Next day no one likes to eat this cold rice. But today in this episode, we are going to tell you about the method of making lemon rice from the leftover rice.
Peanuts – 1 cup
Leftover rice – 2 cups
Dry red chili – 1/2 tsp
Chana Dal – 2 cups
Mustard seeds – 1/2 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1/2 tsp
Asafoetida – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 3-4 drops
Curry leaves – 6-7
Coriander – 1 cup as needed
salt – as per taste
First heat oil in a pan. Then put mustard and curry leaves inside it and cook for some time.
Then add gram dal and fry till it turns brown on low flame.
When the lentils turn brown, add red chillies and peanuts and fry them.
Then put the remaining rice in it. Then add turmeric and salt to it and mix it well.
Cook a little and then add lemon juice to it.
Now keep it covered for 15-20 minutes.
Switch off the gas after the fixed time.
Tasty Lemon Rice is ready. Serve garnished with coriander.
