Chandigarh. Due to lack of rain in Haryana, drought like situation prevails in 21 districts. The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in 32 cities of the state on September 17 and 18. During this period, there may be heavy rain at some places and drizzle at some places. There are chances of rain and thundershowers in Gharaunda, Karnal, Indri, Radaur, Assandh, Kaithal, Nilokheri, Narwana, Kalayat, Thanesar, Guhla, Pehowa, Shahabad, Ambala, Kalka, Barara, Jagadhri, Chhachhrauli, Narayangarh, Panchkula. There is a possibility of light drizzle in Hisar, Nathusari Chopta, Fatehabad, Rania, Bapauli, Jind, Panipat, Sirsa, Tohana, Kalayat, Ratia, Dabwali cities.
Besides, winds will also blow at a speed of 30-40 kilometers per hour. Let us tell you that in the month of September, the heat has also shown its fierce form and during this period the monsoon also did not show much effect in the state. 70% less rainfall than normal has been recorded in this month. Maximum rainfall occurred in Mahendragarh in 24 hours. 82.5MM rainfall was recorded here. After this, 58 mm rainfall has been recorded in Kurukshetra, 42.3 mm in Karnal, 39 in Ambala and more than 19 mm in Panchkula. Apart from this, waterlogging was seen at many places in Sonipat, Rohtak and Gurugram districts due to rain.
