Meteorological Department issued alert

Rain and cold have hit many parts of the country. It is raining continuously in the capital Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, and many other states. The Meteorological Department has issued an alert of rain and hailstorm in many states including UP, Punjab and Delhi. Due to the active Western Disturbance, drastic changes are being seen in the weather across the country. Cold is likely to increase for the next five days.

Uttar Pradesh: Alert of rain and strong winds

The weather has completely changed in Uttar Pradesh.

• Rain: It is raining intermittently, which has increased the cold.
• Strong winds and hailstorm: There is a warning of hailstorm with strong winds in many districts.
• Alert: Light to moderate rain is likely to continue in most parts of the state on Saturday.

Delhi and Haryana: Rainy season with cold

Rain has further increased the cold in the national capital Delhi and many districts of Haryana.

• Hailstorm: There have been reports of hailstorm in Bhiwani, Hisar, Fatehabad and Kaithal.
• Cold: Due to rain and strong winds, a huge drop in temperature has been recorded.

Madhya Pradesh: Hail and rain alert

Rain continues in many districts of Madhya Pradesh since last night.

• Hail: Hail has fallen in Ratlam and surrounding districts.
• Alert: There is a possibility of rain and hailstorm in other parts of the state in the next 24 hours.

Rain and cold continue in Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand also.

• Himachal and Uttarakhand: Heavy snowfall alert.
• Punjab: It is raining intermittently.
• Ladakh: Light snowfall likely.
